About LambdaCalculator

Free construction material and thermal-property calculators. Learn what the tools cover, where the data comes from and how we develop our guides.

From measurements to a result you can check

LambdaCalculator helps turn dimensions and product data into material quantities or thermal values. The tools run in your browser, and each method has a defined scope.

Site and guide author

Mindblown Technologies develops LambdaCalculator: its calculators, guides and method explanations. Use the Contact page to ask about a tool or report a content issue.

What the site is for

The calculators support material purchasing, comparison of variants and unit checks. You can estimate paint, drywall sheets, concrete and flooring, or calculate layer thermal resistance and convert R-values and U-values.

An account is not required. Form inputs are calculated locally. The English and Polish versions use the same calculation methods.

How we develop the content

Our guides explain measurement, required inputs, the formula, our own worked example and method limits. Each cited source states which part of the explanation it supports. Hypothetical example data is not a product recommendation.

We use manufacturer documentation, metrology institutions and public descriptions of standards. Checking a public standard abstract does not mean we have reviewed the complete standard or certified a result.

A content review date applies to verification of that guide. It does not change automatically when a page is opened. Check the current documentation for your exact product before buying.

Scope and responsible use

A concrete volume estimate does not establish foundation capacity. The R-value of one insulation layer is not the U-value of a complete assembly. A purchase quantity does not replace a cutting plan, installation instructions or an installer's measurements.

The content is informational. Assumptions, limitations and inputs are shown with each tool so you can check whether a result fits your planned work.

Sources and independence

A manufacturer name or documentation link identifies a source. It does not imply that the manufacturer has approved the calculator or is affiliated with the site.

The tools are free to use. This version does not load advertising or analytics scripts. The Privacy page describes current data handling.
