Your data in your browser

Privacy

Learn what happens to form inputs, what is stored in this browser and how to remove history and saved calculations.

Calculations run locally, without an account

Dimensions, quantities and prices are calculated in your browser. The calculator does not send these inputs to a server. Saved calculations do not sync between devices.

Calculator inputs

Choosing “Copy result and inputs” copies the calculation and inputs to your device clipboard. You can paste them into your own note; copying does not send them to the site's server.

The calculation and result display run on your device. Entering dimensions or clicking “Calculate” does not save the full form for later use.

If a calculator offers saving, the form and result are stored in browser memory only when you choose that option. Anyone using the same browser profile may be able to access these saves.

What the browser stores

The site uses local browser storage (localStorage) for these features:

Recently used
After a successful calculation, the calculator, usage time, language and units are recorded. History does not include entered dimensions or prices.
Saved calculations
Choosing to save stores the form inputs and result, including entered names and prices, along with dates, language, units and method version.
Project progress
Checked steps are stored for each project. The same progress is available in the Polish and English versions of the site.
Preferences
Your selected theme and unit system retain your preferences for the next visit.

When opening a save, the site also uses session storage (sessionStorage) to pass its identifier to the calculator once.

Backups and moving saves

Export downloads a file containing saved calculations, including their names, dimensions, prices and results. Importing and comparing saves run locally; the selected file is not uploaded to a server.

A calculation backup does not include recently used history, preferences or project progress. To move saves to another browser, export them and import the file there.

A downloaded file remains wherever you save it. Removing data from the site does not remove backup files from your device.

How to remove data

On “My calculations”, you can clear recently used history and all saved calculations separately. The buttons appear when the relevant list contains data.

  • “Clear recent” removes calculator usage history.
  • “Clear all saved” removes saved forms and results.
  • “Reset progress” on a project page resets that project's checked steps.
  • Clearing site data in browser settings also removes local preferences and project progress.

Saves remain in this browser profile until they are removed or the browser clears its storage. Private browsing and storage restrictions may limit or prevent persistence.

Site connections and links

Opening a page downloads its files from a server. Search also fetches the site's content index. These connections are needed to run the site; they do not send calculation form inputs.

This version of the site contains no advertising or analytics scripts. Local saves use browser storage rather than cookies. The infrastructure serving the site may log technical request data, such as an IP address and the requested page address.

Links to manufacturer documentation and other sources lead to external sites. Once you open them, that site's privacy practices apply.
