Thermal insulation
Insulation packs
Full insulation packs from measured area, layer count, coverage and allowance.
How to use this calculator
Method and boundary
Enter measured area, whole layer count and exact-variant pack coverage. Both area fields use m² or ft² according to preference, and results use the same system.
Planned = area × layers × (1 + allowance/100); packs = ceil(planned / pack coverage)
Example
10 m², 1 layer, 5 m² packs and 5% allowance give 10.5 m² planned, 3 packs = 15 m² purchased and 4.5 m² surplus over plan.
The editable 5% default is a starting allowance for cuts. Adjust it to layout and instructions; use zero if demand already includes it. The model does not optimize cutting or mixed packs.
