Concrete footing volume
Calculate concrete for entered rectangular or circular footing geometry without implying a bearing or load check.
How to use this calculator
How to measure
Use the drawing or measured formwork for plan length and width, or diameter, and the actual concrete thickness. Group only footings with the same geometry.
Worked example
Three 2 m × 1 m × 0.5 m footings contain 3 m³ net. With 10% allowance the order volume is 3.3 m³.
Formula and method
Rectangular footing volume is length × width × thickness × quantity. Circular footing volume is π × (diameter ÷ 2)² × thickness × quantity; then apply allowance.
Assumptions
- The entered geometry is already established outside this calculator.
- Every footing in the quantity has identical dimensions.
Limitations
- No soil, load, bearing capacity, settlement or dimension selection.
- No reinforcement, pedestal, key or blinding layer calculation.
FAQ
Does the result confirm bearing capacity?
No. The wording and result are volume-only.
Can different footing sizes be combined?
Use the multi-placement calculator or calculate each size separately.
